</div><div style="text-align: center;">Well hello again...thanks for stopping by.....</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;">I would like to introduce you to the latest creation from my sewing room....</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-size: x-large;"><b>"Hootie"</b></span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjt0jPMMgxfm8T7_nsobZU4qBB4CFCJr13oeZK3oIK6k41lATFcaQcyg3_K2tPY9wmHeD2Dc6S-bhc9ntnvx4sQowaMLw6J-5YE27m5dkPPsEb9IOahW5k7eY7Sh8IAmHnHMeST0qGpqHY/s1600/Mias+Hootie.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjt0jPMMgxfm8T7_nsobZU4qBB4CFCJr13oeZK3oIK6k41lATFcaQcyg3_K2tPY9wmHeD2Dc6S-bhc9ntnvx4sQowaMLw6J-5YE27m5dkPPsEb9IOahW5k7eY7Sh8IAmHnHMeST0qGpqHY/s320/Mias+Hootie.jpg" width="239" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;"> the heat bag</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;">Last year when my niece and nephew </div><div style="text-align: center;">moved down from sunny QLD to SA</div><div style="text-align: center;"> they were suffering from the cold....!!!</div><div style="text-align: center;"> I decided to give them a pair of flannelette pjs each....</div><div style="text-align: center;">and I did make comment to my Mum</div><div style="text-align: center;">I should make them a wheat bag each!</div><div style="text-align: center;">The children had never owned one due </div><div style="text-align: center;">to the climate in QLD </div><div style="text-align: center;">so I played around with the idea and decided to make flannelette ones to match the PJ' s</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;">But me being me decided that a plain old square one</div><div style="text-align: center;">was just a bit boring </div><div style="text-align: center;">and decided to make something different....</div><div style="text-align: center;">I toyed with the idea of making a ladybird one...</div><div style="text-align: center;">great for my niece but I didn't think my nephew </div><div style="text-align: center;">would be fussed with a ladybird </div><div style="text-align: center;">so I fiddled around a bit more </div><div style="text-align: center;">and came up with an owl...</div><div style="text-align: center;">good for both girls and boys </div><div style="text-align: center;">and those young at heart!</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;">I made one up as a trial and the reaction </div><div style="text-align: center;">from my family was that I should make </div><div style="text-align: center;">some for the markets that I have been doing </div><div style="text-align: center;">'cause they are just so darn </div><div style="text-align: center;">CUTE!!!</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />

</div><div style="text-align: center;"> I made 12 up and "Hootie" </div><div style="text-align: center;">debuted at the <a href="http://buninyongmakersmarket.blogspot.com/">Buninyong Makers Market</a> in May</div><div style="text-align: center;">and he sold out before lunch.....</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />

</div><div style="text-align: center;"> I made 30 for <a href="https://www.facebook.com/littlemunchkinsmarket">Little Munchkins Market</a> in June </div><div style="text-align: center;">because its winter here and he is so warm and cuddly...</div><div style="text-align: center;">and once again he was very popular..!</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;">I have a stall at the <a href="http://www.blogger.com/%20http://www.sugarandspicemarkets.com.au">Sugar & Spice Childrens Market</a></div><div style="text-align: center;">in a couple of weeks so my sewing room</div><div style="text-align: center;">has turned into "Hootie"ville.....</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjt7VxQjovgn8zsH6cQrZ9kBKaiunhDuwYBkrNcCkzFJtP2d4Xg9cwm82roD8vc1f_0uBugOEFigU7c-PAS0MpB95g5jwdVtDKWpFkpr9OEzatIqWR-FE2KEKQw-lWHrWGym92ozPWlU6c/s1600/P1030106.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjt7VxQjovgn8zsH6cQrZ9kBKaiunhDuwYBkrNcCkzFJtP2d4Xg9cwm82roD8vc1f_0uBugOEFigU7c-PAS0MpB95g5jwdVtDKWpFkpr9OEzatIqWR-FE2KEKQw-lWHrWGym92ozPWlU6c/s320/P1030106.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><br />
<div style="text-align: center;">I am having so much fun making these </div><div style="text-align: center;">and they are not only popular with the kids...</div><div style="text-align: center;">but I have lots of requests for adult ones....</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;">So I better get back to the sewing room..</div><div style="text-align: center;">as some more gorgeous flannel has just arrived </div><div style="text-align: center;">from the US and I can't wait to play with it!!!</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;"> I hope you are managing to stay warm wherever you are! </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />

</div><div style="text-align: center;">Hello blogging friends...</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;">Lots has happened over the last 6 months </div><div style="text-align: center;">and after an extended blogging break due to </div><div style="text-align: center;">building and moving into a new house...</div><div style="text-align: center;">family stuff and work commitments</div><div style="text-align: center;">I am happy to say that I now have the internet</div><div style="text-align: center;">finally connected and I am back!</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;">I closed all my online stores before the move</div><div style="text-align: center;">and I am just in the process of</div><div style="text-align: center;">restocking and re-opening them</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;">Due to my work commitments I will only be attending</div><div style="text-align: center;">2 different markets this year,</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;"></div><div style="text-align: center;">Buninyong Makers Market</div><div style="text-align: center;">and </div><div style="text-align: center;">Caledonian Market</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;">and of course the Colac Lifestyle show</div><div style="text-align: center;">that I do every year in October...</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;">I am in the process of designing some new stock for both markets so I have also been very busy at the sewing machine...</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;">check out my Events page to see when the next markets are on! and if you are in the area </div><div style="text-align: center;">I would love to see you!!</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;"> I have missed all my blogging friends </div><div style="text-align: center;">and I will be blog hopping around to catch up and </div><div style="text-align: center;">see what you have all be up to shortly </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;">Until then.......</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />

here we are at nearly at the end of another month....</div><div style="text-align: center;">and what a month it has been!</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;">Lots has happened with the personal "stuff" </div><div style="text-align: center;">and I have been very busy at the sewing machine </div><div style="text-align: center;">as I have attended 3 markets this month. </div><div style="text-align: center;">(hence the large amount of OPAM finishes this month!) </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;">The first one was the annual Colac Lifestyle Expo </div><div style="text-align: center;">and once again my girlfriend and I had a fabulous weekend away...</div><div style="text-align: center;">although the replaying of the Grandfinal had a lot to do with crowd attendance </div><div style="text-align: center;">we still had a great day.</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;">Last weekend was the local Buninyong Makers Market....</div><div style="text-align: center;">once again we had a fabulous day<br />
and I met lots of lovely customers,</div><div style="text-align: center;">and there were heaps of new stallholders...</div><div style="text-align: center;">so if you get a chance and are in the area...</div><div style="text-align: center;">pop in and say "hello" at the next market </div><div style="text-align: center;">which is the Christmas Market </div><div style="text-align: center;">on Saturday 4th December...</div><div style="text-align: center;">lots of goodies on offer!</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;">and then I attended the Caledonian Market on Sunday</div><div style="text-align: center;">which is always lots of fun...</div><div style="text-align: center;">the next market will be on Friday 26th November </div><div style="text-align: center;">which is a twilight market between 5 - 9pm</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;">I have also been invited to attend a new annual market </div><div style="text-align: center;">"Christmas Fest"</div><div style="text-align: center;">on Friday 3rd of December </div><div style="text-align: center;">(another twilight market)...</div><div style="text-align: center;">but more on that later..</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;">I will be blog hopping soon to catch up on all your news!</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;">til next time</div><div style="text-align: center;">Happy Quilting</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />

</div><div style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://buninyongmakersmarket.blogspot.com/">BUNINYONG MAKERS MARKET...</a></div><div style="text-align: center;"> </div><div style="text-align: center;">Being a local girl it is quite exciting to showcase my handmade goodies for the locals and visitors alike.</div><div style="text-align: center;">The Market will be held in the Buninyong Town Hall between 10am and 2pm</div><div style="text-align: center;"> and the dates are <br />
<br />
11th September<br />
23rd October<br />
4th December (Christmas Market)</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;">If you are in the vicinity...pop in and say hello... </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;">Needless to say I have been busy sewing,<br />
and organising. </div><div style="text-align: center;">I was going to show some pictures of my wares</div><div style="text-align: center;">but Blogger wont let me upload photos :( </div><div style="text-align: center;">so I will have to show you another day)</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;">anyway better get back to the sewing machine....</div><div style="text-align: center;">til next time</div><div style="text-align: center;">Happy Quilting</div><div style="text-align: center;">Glenda</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div>Tulip~Rose Quilt Shoppehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12171339733836020089noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1151538945066909726.post-72428641995310789032010-08-30T01:21:00.002+10:002010-08-30T01:27:17.010+10:00<div style="text-align: center;">Long time no post...</div><div style="text-align: center;">time has just been flying along</div><div style="text-align: center;">Since my last post a lot has happened in my life </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;">Firstly to announce the news from my last post I was given the opportunity to teach quilting to beginners at a new Quilt shop that had opened in Ballarat </div><div style="text-align: center;">so I was going to close down my e-Bay store </div><div style="text-align: center;">and concentrate on this......</div><div style="text-align: center;">but sadly this has been postponed.....</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;"></div><div style="text-align: center;">Which is probably just as well as not long after my last post I was told that the local Cafe I worked in at Buninyong was closing......</div><div style="text-align: center;">I must admit this was a bit of a shock to all the girls </div><div style="text-align: center;">and not really in my grand plan of things..</div><div style="text-align: center;">but sometimes things happen.... </div><div style="text-align: center;">We were given 5 weeks notice which have just whizzed by and on the 22nd of August </div><div style="text-align: center;">"The Vintage Garden and Cupcake Cafe" </div><div style="text-align: center;">closed for the last time...</div><div style="text-align: center;">the last week has been full of packing and cleaning </div><div style="text-align: center;">which was completed on Saturday </div><div style="text-align: center;">so I am now officially unemployed!! </div><div style="text-align: center;">but I suppose that will now leave me more time for sewing :) </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;">If you follow their blog I am sure that there will be something happening there shortly so keep an eye out...</div><div style="text-align: center;">I am not going to spoil the announcement. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;">SO as said in my last post </div><div style="text-align: center;">when one door closes another opens...</div><div style="text-align: center;">Not quite what I was posting about at the time but I am waiting to see what life throws at me now!</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
til next time </div><div style="text-align: center;">Happy Sewing</div><div style="text-align: center;">Glenda</div>Tulip~Rose Quilt Shoppehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12171339733836020089noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1151538945066909726.post-74071494302820796322010-06-08T20:16:00.008+10:002010-06-08T20:30:53.217+10:00.....When one door is closing!.....<div style="text-align: center;">I have been absent from blogging for a while now.....busy...busy...busy...<br />
with building our new house...<br />
and family "stuff" time just flies!<br />
(and probably spending way too much time on Facebook!!!! LOL).<br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;">I have also been a bit slack on the OPAM<br />
and have only half finished a few things<br />
over the last 2 months and not actually completed anything.....<br />
so technically NO finishes for 2 months in a row!.<br />
<br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;">With events that have happened in my personal life<br />
over the last month or so<br />
I have decided that it is time that I focus on things<br />
that are the most important to ME...<br />
I have to stop worrying about things that I cannot control or change...<br />
and put my energy into my goals<br />
and what I want to achieve in my life...<br />
<br />
And then out of the blue an opportunity<br />
has presented itself...<br />
that I am SOOOO excited and nervous about..<br />
<br />
I can't disclose much just yet as there are still<br />
lots of details to finalise<br />
BUT<br />
There is a change in the wind..</div><div style="text-align: center;"><div style="text-align: center;">one that would be a dream come true for me!</div></div><div style="text-align: center;">I have come to believe the saying...<br />
When one door closes another one opens......<br />
<br />

<br />
I had such grand plans for what I wanted to achieve during March....<br />
Luckily the month started well and I finished a bag that I have been wanted to try for ages and another couple of buntings and raggy bags but that is it for this month..so a grand total of 5 finishes for the OPAM which I suppose is not to bad considering!....<br />
I have not touched the sewing machine for weeks..and I am just started to feel a little better so maybe next week, or the week after I am hoping to start April's "to do list" and being a little more productive in the sewing area!!!<br />
<br />
I haven't cruised around blogland for weeks but I assure you that I will be popping into all your blogs to see whats going on in your world...<br />
when I catch on whats been NOT going on in my world like housework!!!!<br />
<br />
so what have you been up too????</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-size: 100%;"><span style="font-family: verdana;"><span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: 100%;"><span style="font-style: italic;">Happy Quilting</span></span></span></span></span><br />

holidays and are finally back to work!</div><div style="text-align: center;"> I am looking forward to life returning to some sort of normal routine..... </div><div style="text-align: center;"> Yeah!</div><div style="text-align: center;">I have only completed one item for the OPAM...</div><div style="text-align: center;">but it was a custom order..</div><div style="text-align: center;">not any of the UFO's that I have been eyeing off finishing...</div><div style="text-align: center;">but it is a start!<br />
<br />
So now to start on March's List</div><div style="text-align: center;">I have sorted all of my UFO's and WISP's into order and they are sitting on the table ready<br />
I have also been for a bit of a cruise around some of the other participants blogs...<br />
my there are some talented ladies out there!<br />
If you get a chance go and have a peek!<br />
<br />
<span style="font-size: 100%;"><span style="font-family: verdana;"><span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: 100%;"><span style="font-style: italic;">Happy Quilting</span><br />

</div><div style="text-align: center;">one of my "New Year Resolutions" was to become more organised as far as my quilting and craft goes...<br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;">I want to get some of my UFO's and WISP's under control (I have quite a few)....<br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;">and to clean up the sewing area<br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;">So I have taken the first steps !!!......<br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;">and joined the OPAM 2010 Challenge<br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;">hosted by<a href="http://happyinquilting.blogspot.com/"> Peg @ Happy In Quilting</a><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;">and <a href="http://www.tagalongteddies.blogspot.com/">Kris @ Tag along Teddies.....</a><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;">This idea of this challenge is to finish One Project A Month......<br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;">and before the end of the month...<br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;">blog about them and update a list on the side bar. <br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;">and I think that there might still be some vacancies...<br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;">so if you pop over to either <a href="http://happyinquilting.blogspot.com/">Peg</a> or<a href="http://www.tagalongteddies.blogspot.com/"> Kris's</a> blog..there still maybe time to join up..<br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;">There will be 200 other Bloggers around the world taking part in the challenge so they will all be providing motivation and HUGE cheer squad to get "stuff" completed.<br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;">just what I need..a gentle push in the right direction!<br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;">So in order to start the challenge...<br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;">I need to find and sort some of the unfinished projects and make a list of what I need to finish them off.....<br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;">and in order to do that I need a big clean up and de-clutter of the sewing area..<br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;">I have the next two days off work so time to get started on the sorting..<br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;">Yeah..... one resolution is about to happen! <br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;">I will be blogging about my "completions" and keeping the list updated<br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;">so I hope that you check back often to see what is happening!<br />

</div><div style="text-align: center;">and I have very belatedly let Andrea know that I did receive the parcel on Christmas Eve..<br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;">no doubt held up by the Australia Post strike that we had here in Australia before Christmas.......<br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;">Without a computer I was unable to post the photos of the BEAUTIFUL stocking that I received from Andrea.<br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;">so here they are.......<br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://i70.photobucket.com/albums/i86/amethsyt1/P1020611.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://i70.photobucket.com/albums/i86/amethsyt1/P1020611.jpg" width="240" /></a><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;">Andrea had done her research well to make one for me that I LOVE!!<br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://i70.photobucket.com/albums/i86/amethsyt1/P1020613.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://i70.photobucket.com/albums/i86/amethsyt1/P1020613.jpg" width="320" /></a><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;">and had included some other little goodies for me!<br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;">I received lots of compliments on the stocking and my friends were in awe that someone I didn't know would send me something from the other side of the world!<br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;">THANKYOU so much Andrea....<br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;">I will hang this stocking pride of place every year to remind me of a new friend that I have made.<br />

<br />
For those that know me.... cooking is not really my forte....but this "baking" I have loved doing!!!<br />
<br />
Aren't these just the cutest "cupcake" tote bags !!!<br />
They were an absolute HIT down at the Expo and I sold out!!!<br />
<br />
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiIoIK7CbEBFgvQgrzgqlmbtAnQZb2Sw_ev6pY92ULZOJlkuEADbfWlOslGiGGpVnq-lofOIyJwW4yYvWI8k02I41Uicr3pMqK4fvT2huGnqE4k-mpVrzhbOGVSJpXxzDCaEr3nPonQm1s/s1600-h/P1020509.JPG" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5389410972150266050" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiIoIK7CbEBFgvQgrzgqlmbtAnQZb2Sw_ev6pY92ULZOJlkuEADbfWlOslGiGGpVnq-lofOIyJwW4yYvWI8k02I41Uicr3pMqK4fvT2huGnqE4k-mpVrzhbOGVSJpXxzDCaEr3nPonQm1s/s400/P1020509.JPG" style="cursor: pointer; display: block; height: 300px; margin: 0px auto 10px; text-align: center; width: 400px;" /></a><br />
They are such fun to "bake" and just the right size for little girls to pop their "precious stuff" into.<br />
<br />
So I have been "whipped" up a few more and these will be available on my website and eBay store in the New Year (when I load them!).<br />
<br />

This is the 18<span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_1"><span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_0"><span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_0">th</span></span></span> year of the Expo and it is a HUGE event for the whole town...<br />I was happy to oblige and the quilt was finished early last month and sent away for the photo shoot for advertising, and tour of the town for ticket selling...<br /><br />.... Job Done !!! ....<br /><br /><span style="font-style: italic;">but</span><br /><br />The Organising Committee approached me after they received the quilt and offered a site for me to showcase my items as the Expo also has a large craft market side...<br /><br />I must admit I did think <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_2">initially</span> that I would thank them for the offer but politely decline.<br />I have never done a craft market or stall or craft expo...and it just seemed so overwhelming.......<br />what with working part time, family commitments, deciding to build a new house, and just life in general, there didn't seem to be enough hours in the day to make anything to take with me!<br /><br />I had lunch with my girlfriend for her birthday..... we spent most of the time chatting about this, and she was just SO excited for me, full of offers to help, and travel with me on the day, that I decided that I would accept the committee's offer. Her excitement was catching!!! :)<br /><br />I have had lists made for weeks of things that I could create...... been shopping for "stuff" that I need, planning travel and <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_3">accommodation</span> ... more planning and lists....... as it's to far to come home if I forget something!!!....<br />I always try to be really organised but somehow August is slipping past so fast! Where did this month go?<br />and I have had weeks and weeks to start sewing.... and how much have I done....nothing!....<br /><br />.....so.....<br /><br />It's time to re-<span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_4">acquainted</span> with my <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_5"><span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_1"><span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_1">Janome</span></span></span>!!!.... :)<br /><br />It has been a while since I have sat and spent any real quality time at my sewing machine but the time has come!<br />I have more time up my sleeve now...<br />and I have approx 6 weeks to get my act together!<br /><br />Have you ever done craft markets or stalls??<br />Any tips or hints for me would be gratefully received!!!<br />I think that I could use all the help that I can get!!!<br /><br /><span style="font-size:100%;"><span style="font-family:verdana;"><span style="font-family:Verdana,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size:100%;"><span style="font-style: italic;">Happy Quilting</span><br /></span></span></span></span><span style="font-style: italic; I am amazed at the generosity of bloggers and I am lucky to be making such lovely new friends....<br /><br /></div><br />Now the rules of this award are:-<br /><br />1. Accept the award, post it on your blog together with the name of the person who has granted the award and his or her blog link.<br /><br />2. Pass the award to 10 other blogs that you have newly discovered. remember to contact the bloggers to let them know they have been chosen for this award.<br /><br /><div style="text-align: center;">I think that Carol has just about covered most of the blogs that I visit as I am still new at this so I will pick just a couple....( know its not quite the rules but I dont want to nominate people that have just been nominated!)<br /><br />So here are the bloggers that I love to visit and pass this award onto:<br /><br />Shabby Roses and Pretty Things<br />My Pink & Cream Cottage<br />Modern Retro Textiles<br />A Bite of Country Cupcakes<br /><br />Now to pop over and visit their lovely blogs and let them know.....<br /><br /><br />And a quick update...I have finally finished my "item" for the polka dot swap....its already to send and I must say that I am happy with the end result!<br />I just hope that Sam is pleased when she opens the parcel!!<br /><br />I will post some photos when I know that Sam has received it!!!<br /><br /><span style="font-family:verdana;"><span style="font-style: italic;">Happy Quilting</span></span><br /><span style="font-style: italic; color: rgb(51, 51, 51);font-size:180%;" ><span style="font-family:lucida grande;">~ Glenda ~</span></span><br /></div>Tulip~Rose Quilt Shoppehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12171339733836020089noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1151538945066909726.post-74807018772525434102009-06-22T16:02:00.007+10:002009-07-18T18:04:14.326+10:00My FIRST Swap.......<div style="text-align: center;">I have enrolled in my very FIRST blog swap! I thought that it would be a great way to get to know other bloggers and have some fun!.....( and I must admit I have more than my fair share of polka dot fabric in the stash!)<br /><br />So I headed over and joined the <a style="color: rgb(204, 51, 204);" href="http://polka-dot-daze.blogspot.com/2009/06/its-polka-dot-swap.html">polka dot swap</a> organised by <a style="color: rgb(204, 51, 204);" href="http://polka-dot-daze.blogspot.com/">Polka Dot Daze</a>.<br /><br />The partners have been picked and my partner is Samantha from Modern Retro Textiles...... So off to see what Sam likes..checked out her <a style="color: rgb(204, 51, 204);" href="http://www.modernretrotextiles.blogspot.com/">blog</a> and <a style="color: rgb(204, 51, 204);" href="http://modernretrotextiles.com.au/">website</a>, (hmmm that was dangerous~Amy Butler fabric $20AU per metre!) ...... even started stalking her on twitter to get some hints! LOL....<br /><br />I have about 10 ideas floating.....fabric spread everywhere.... ...the brain is on overload...I just need to get organised and decide what I am going to make!<br /><br />So off I go to play with the fabric......stress a bit more about whether what I make will be OK<br />...and have a nice stiff drink!!<br /><br />Hope you are all managing to keep warm!<br /></div><br /><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family:verdana;"><span style="font-style: italic;">Happy Quilting</span></span><br /><span style="font-style: italic; color: rgb(51, 51, 51);font-size:180%;" ><span style="font-family:lucida grande;">~ Glenda ~</span></span><br /></div>Tulip~Rose Quilt Shoppehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12171339733836020089noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1151538945066909726.post-72086281766691230942009-06-09T23:51:00.019+10:002009-06-10T01:38:43.897+10:00Photos.....!<div style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family:verdana;">I went blog hopping yesterday, as it was</span><span style="font-family:verdana;"> </span><span style="font-family:verdana;">a Public Holiday here.
